1. How do I register for a class or program?

Once you have added all your family members in your account, just click on a Catalog Tab 
for a program or sport you would like to register for.  
The computer will already know any eligible member that will be able to join in a program.  
You can now register more than 1 or 2 people at a time.

Online registration is 24/7, no need to travel to the office.  Registration and payment is done 
all at the same time and you will receive receipts for anything that you do.

2. How do I find out about cancellations after hours when you are closed?

The Parks office is open 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.  
If something comes up after this time, still call the office at 719.547.7400 
and listen to any messages on our information system regarding closures.

If we can cancel early enough, we will call coaches for sports and they in 
turn will call or email the team players of any schedule changes.

3. What happens if there is bad weather, is class cancelled?

If there is bad weather......snow/ice storm, thunder and lightening, etc. 
The Parks department will address those concerns on the information 
line on our telephone messaging system.  

When you establish your family account, make sure too that you fill in 
your phone carrier and we can send a message to you instantly regarding 
closures or delays.

4. What if there is a 2-hr delay like School District 70 has?

We do not have a 2-hr delay.  Classes will start as normal for our programs and classes.

5. How do I rent a parks facility?

Please look for the catalog tab "Park Rentals", to reserve any of our park facilities.  
The catalog tab "Aquatic Reservations", is where the swimming pool can be reserved.

The new CivicRec website will show calendars for all facilities.  Available dates will be in 
green, and dates already booked will be in pink.

6. Where is the Parks office and what are the hours?

The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation office is located at 
340 E. Hahn's Peak Ave., in Lovell Park.  
At present our office is still closed to the public, but we are still 
here working from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.  
Please knock on the door and we will let you in.

7. What is your refund policy for classes and programs?

Refunds are issued only due to a medical emergency or if a class or 
program is cancelled. Refunds are not issued once a program has started, 
or because a participant has changed their mind. Please plan appropriately.

8. Can we rent out the Pueblo Regional Indoor pool for a party?

The Pueblo Regional pool is a State of Colorado run facility for client rehab and therapy. 
State laws prohibit public hours. It is not a rentable facility.

Currently are the following programs offered for Spring 2023:

Senior Water Aerobics: M - F  6:30am-8:00am $2 per class
ongoing class

Adult Water Aerobics: T & TH  5:15-6:15pm $3 per class
Jan 17 to Mar 30

Lap Swim: M & W  5:15-6:15pm  $3 per class if registered online or
$5 drop-in fee.
Jan 16 to Mar 29

9. Is the Pueblo West Parks and Recreation Department part of Pueblo Parks and Recreation?

The department is one of the five services that the Pueblo West Metro District 
offers to Pueblo West.  
We are not affiliated with Lake Pueblo State Park or the Pueblo Parks and 
Recreation, but have included their numbers for you:

10. How do I become a Volunteer Coach with the Parks Department?

When completing a registration form on-line, there is a box to check if you want 
to coach. 
There are some requirements to become a coach and you can find that on 
the "Become a Volunteer Coach" tab.
