Pueblo West Metropolitan District launched the Development Center (www.pueblowestmetro.com/developmentcenter), a webpage aimed to help walk residents, developers, and builders through both the Metro District and Pueblo County permitting process.
“Whether you are a resident adding a new driveway access on your property, building a shed in your backyard, or you are a homebuilder or commercial developer, we recognize it can take substantial effort to research the development requirements and identify the various District and County departments you will have to work with. The online Development Center is a starting point to walk you through the development process,” said Community Development Director, Laurie Cozzetto.
The webpage walks developers through an intuitive process to identify key permitting documents and link to both District departments and outside agencies to obtain permits based on the type of development being pursued. The Development Center lays out a multi-step process based on the size of the development. For instance, for commercial or multi-family development, a six-step process is laid out in a step-by-step process from an initial property search complete with maps, covenant, code, and fee information and continues through the inspection process.
“The intent is to simplify what can be a cumbersome process to make it easier for residents, contractors, and land developers to obtain the necessary permits, therefore, helping to expedite development and growth in Pueblo West,” Cozzetto said.
The webpage is live at www.pueblowestmetro.com/developmentcenter.
