Are you interested in becoming a Volunteer Coach for our Youth Sports programs?

The Parks and Recreation department is always looking for adults that would like to volunteer with our Youth Sports programs. If you enjoy teaching sports skills and teamwork in a non-competitive environment, and want to get involved in sports such as, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and tee-ball, we can put you to work and the benefits are endless.

All volunteers that want to coach in the Pueblo West Parks and Recreation youth sports are required annually to complete the following items:

Background Check Forms (PDF)

Coach Study Guide (PDF)

Coach Certification Test Questions

National Federation of State High School Association: Concussion in Sports Course

Parent's Code of Conduct

Submitting the Certificate

At completion of the course, you will receive a certificate to print (or download as a PDF via email) and return to the Parks Office as proof of passing course. You may alternatively submit your PDF of the certificate with our online form.

Coach's Waived Fees

Only the team's "head coach" fees are waived for volunteering to coach. Paperwork is still required and can be found in the above "Requirements" section. All Volunteers helping the coach are required to complete background checks before sport start date.
