Paperless Application Process
In an effort to streamline the application process, the Pueblo West Metropolitan District Community Development and Engineering Department has moved to a paperless application and payment system. The system, referred to as OpenGov, was created in partnership with Pueblo County and the City of Pueblo, to provide a one-stop solution for application and permitting services in Pueblo County.
Before applying for a new build or accessory structure...
Check this list to see if your tract is 90% built out. If your tract is 90% built out, Committee of Architecture review is bypassed. However, an application through the paperless application and payment system is still required for legally-required record-keeping purposes only. Call our offices at 719-547-2000 for more information and questions about this.
What does '90% built out' mean?
According to the Pueblo West Declaration of Reservations, a document created at Pueblo West's founding that governs covenant enforcement in the Metro District, any tract that is at least 90% built out becomes what is called a "no standing zone" and no permission is required to build in these zones.
Learn more about the "No Standing Zone" rule in the Metro District's Declaration of Reservations document, and you're encouraged to contact Pueblo West Community Development via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or (719) 547-2000 for additional guidance and explanation.
