Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- The ADA prohibits any discrimination based on someone’s disability. As a local government employer, the District adheres to all laws associated with the ADA.
- The District will make reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with known disabilities unless doing so would result in an undue hardship to the District or cause a direct threat to health or safety. The District will make reasonable accommodation for employees whose work requirements interfere with a religious belief, unless doing so poses undue hardship on the District. The District may require than an employee provide a note from a health care provider detailing the medical advisability of the reasonable accommodation.
