Community Parks

Lovell ParkLovell Park Sccer Field

362 E Hahns Peak Ave - Our largest park in Pueblo West is 21 acres.

The park includes a covered-reservable pavilion picnic/stage area, a heated outdoor pool, 2 lighted ballfields, 3 soccer fields, horseshoe pits, a paved basketball court, a sand volleyball court, an equipped playground for children, and public restrooms.

Waggin' Tail Dog Park at Lovell Parkdogs

340 E Hahns Peak Ave This is a new venture this year - to have a place for our "little buddies" to come with their parents!  On an given day, our new dog park probably has at least 15-20 dogs, greeting each other, playing tag, and just sitting in the sunshine.  We periodically will close the gates and do fertilizing or lawn mowing, but we'll put up a sign a day in advance so you know when that will take place.

Cattail Crossing

253 McCulloch Blvd - A 3.75 acre park.cattail picture 2

This park has a fishing pond area, adjacent to the Desert Hawk Golf Course that was developed for children ages 15 and under, and persons with disabilities for fishing opportunities.  The amenities for public use include picnic shelters, tables, fishing slabs, a sidewalk around the pond, and a xeriscape garden and benches.

Golden Guardian

230 S McCulloch Blvd - This land is a 1 acre designated area.

Envisioned to be a "cultural park" where sculpture shows and arts and craft shows could be held throughout the year, at present this park has a fountain, a 12 ft. bronze eagle sculpture, and military flags to honor all branches of the military services.

Neighborhood Parks

Memorial Recreation Building

230 E George Dr - This neighborhood park is 1.75 acres.

Located in the mobile home area of Pueblo West, the building is reservable and holds a max capacity of 60 people.  Also many programs that the parks and recreation offers are held at this facility.  A nice large park area in the back of the building has a slab basketball court, and scattered picnic tables and grills.

Pixie PlaygroundPixie Park

355 E Byrd Dr - This neighborhood park is 6.7 acres.

Another neighborhood park located in the mobile home area established in the early 70's.  It has picnic shelters and tables along with a swing set, jungle jim, slides, and climbing equipment for the younger child.

Civic Center Tennis Courts

Civic Center Dr - Located in a central area off Joe Martinez Blvd near the Sheriff Sub-station,  the 4 tennis courts are for public use but, Pueblo School District 70 and the Pueblo West Metro District have an agreement to share facilities, and the high school also uses them for their boys and girls tennis teams.  In the future we look forward to installing lights for the courts.
