Tract 220/States Avenue Linear Infrastructure Project

The Pueblo West Metropolitan District (PWMD) Utilities Department is beginning a sanitary sewer project that will benefit the businesses, industries, and residents of Pueblo West’s north side.  There will be two alignments.  The first alignment, a sanitary sewer designed to service the area near the Big R as well as properties to the east along the alignment.  The project will travel along the south side of McCulloch Boulevard and turn south at the Public Works Building.  It will then follow property lines to a major utility corridor along what Mr. McCulloch used as an airport.  Once it completes the journey through the utility corridor it will cross Purcell Boulevard, follow Ranch Drive until it meets an easement.  From there is will travel through the easement to meet up with the previously constructed North Side sewer that services Fire Station #3.  The second alignment, originating at States Avenue Industrial Park, continues along Platteville Boulevard where it will turn south on to Boyero Avenue.  Then when the sewer reaches East Orchid it will turn west where it will reach an easement.  Traveling in that easement it will terminate near the first alignment’s connection point at the North Side sewer.  Other than the purposes mentioned above, the States Avenue portion of the sewer will also provide service to a new Lift Station that will be placed at its beginning.

This project will be along the rights of way of the roads mentioned above.  Even though this project will largely be out of the street, traffic control will be in place to protect our crews.  This could cause traffic delays.  Please be patient as we complete this vital utility project.

Pate Construction is the General Contractor for this project.  Their point of contact is Brian Bell, Project Manager, (719) 647-0463.
