The new Pueblo West Events Series is here for you! The Pueblo West Metropolitan District is offering a gigantic schedule of FREE events, both large and small, designed to give residents something to do throughout the year – and especially during the summer months!

The legendary "wet parade," dubbed the largest water fight west of the Mississippi, is back for 2023! Pueblo West Market
Every Monday through Thursday – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Civic Center Park (map)
The cul-de-sac at Civic Center Park will be full of food trucks for the Pueblo West Market from Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer! Whether you want a late breakfast, have a lunch break at work, or want a yummy outdoor dinner at the park, food trucks will be at Civic Center all summer long!
Kites and Coffee
Saturday, May 20 – 10 a.m. at Civic Center Park (map)
Join us in Civic Center Park for the inaugural Kites and Coffee festival. The first 25 kids receive a free kite, and coffee will be available from Ground Pounder Coffee.
Kids Summer classes
Tuesdays: June 13-July 25, mornings
Wednesdays: June 14-July 26, mornings
Registration window is May 1 to May 19. Cost is $30-50, depending on the activity. Visit our registration page to sign up)
This drop-off program hosted by Pueblo West Parks & Recreation provides activities for kids ages 18 months to 9 years old. Select either the Tuesday classes, or Wednesday classes.

Kids dance program: Seussical the Musical
June 6-Aug. 1, afternoons
Registration window is May 1 to May 28. Cost is $55. Visit our registration page to sign up)
This 7-week dance program for boys and girls ages 3-13 are 45-minute long age-appropriate lessons, ending with a recital on Aug. 5 at the Paws For Life animal shelter.
Movies in the Park – Puss and Boots: The Last Wish
Friday, June 16 – 6:30 p.m. at Civic Center Park (map)
Join us at Civic Center Park for a FREE showing of Puss and Boots: The Last Wish. Enjoy a family picnic and a movie, with multiple food trucks available for you to enjoy!
This is the first of several Movies in the Park events this summer.
Parties in the Park

ALL DAY LONG!
Once a month, the Pueblo West Metropolitan District will host Parties in the Park. An all-day slate of events will include:
- Community Costermonger – What the heck is a Costermonger?? It's a combination farmers' market, vendor fair and community flea market/garage sale. The Costermonger will kick off at 8 a.m.
- Food Trucks – ALL DAY LONG!
- Cornhole Tournament – You think you're a cornhole hustler? Your fellow residents would beg to differ. These monthly tournaments allow you to have bragging rights as the Community Cornhole Champion.
- Westie's Playground – The Pueblo West Metro District's fluffy mascot invites the kids to come out and enjoy games and activities throughout the day.
- Yard games – Enjoy games like cup pong, or darts, but on a larger scale. Use soccer balls instead instead of ping-pong balls and darts to play these fun game.
- Beer garden – At night, a beer garden will be available for adults to enjoy.
- Pueblo West Concert Series – For just $5, enjoy a concert at the park. Bands include Nucking Futs (June 24), Rhythm Kings Trio (July 29), Martini Shot (Aug. 26), and Triple Nickel (Sept. 30).
- Blues, Brews and Barbecue (July 29 only) – Enjoy some blues from Rhythm Kings Trio, drinks from the beer garden, prize drawings, and a wide selection of barbeque!

Fiesta Friday

Fiesta Friday is returning for 2023! Enjoys food trucks, activities, a beer garden, and more!
Tom Sawyer Fishing Derby
Saturday, Oct. 7 – morning at Cattails Crossing (map)
Registration: Sept. 11 to Oct. 4
The annual Tom Sawyer Fishing Derby has become a Pueblo West tradition! Pueblo West Parks and Recreation, along with the Jubic family, the Rotary Club of Pueblo West, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife, are sponsors for the Tom Sawyer Fishing Derby that includes giveaways, prizes, fishing poles for kids, and more!
Fall Fest
Saturday, Oct. 28 – evening at Civic Center Park (map)
Welcome to fall at the Fall Fest, a huge fall-themed event that will include bands, games, food, a beer garden, and more!
Halloween Bash
Tuesday, October 31 – 4 p.m.
The annual Halloween Bash will be back again for 2023! Our annual 'trunk or treat' event provides kids with a huge bag of goodies, including candy and toys.
Community Food Basket Drive
Nov. 1 to Nov. 11
One of several holiday drives sponsored by the Pueblo West Metro District, the Community Food Basket Drive collects and disperses food boxes as well as Christmas gifts to needy families in Pueblo West. We work with area schools to identify local families that need it most.
Holiday Giving Tree
Deadline, Dec. 7
The Pueblo West Metro District Holiday Giving Tree is an annual Christmas gift collection drive designed to fulfill the wishes of an in-need child in Pueblo West.
Holiday in Lights Parade
Saturday, Dec. 2 – evening
Our annual Holiday in Lights Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2. The parade route runs down Joe Martinez Blvd. to Civic Center Park, ending with visits from Santa, cookies and cocoa, and a community bonfire.

Gal-entines Day Social Art Event
February 2023
Our first "social art" event took place in February, drawing 30 participants that were led through a painting lesson by a professional artist while also enjoying complimentary wine, donated by Big Bear Liquor.
